OK! In the words of Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers, Something's gotta change. As you are no doubt aware, GeoCities has instituted this infuriating and dubious practice of choking off file downloads in the hope of making people pay for the space that they once provided for free. OK, I can understand the US economy's not so great and the great dot com boom is a distant happy memory, but still and all, these 'pusher' business practices are beyond the pale methinks. Which brings us to ... What To Do? As I see it there are several options: Do nothing: keep things the way they are and let it die out of neglect. Remove most of the content, giving more people a chance to see what's left. Give in to GeoCities, pay for space and charge for admission. So those are the options as I see them. Meanwhile, I'm once again trying to get back to redesigning the site and posting more content, and more around the web in an effort to thwart the bandwidth evildoers!
